InfoStreet joins the
Any2 Exchange at One Wilshire
to further Streamline Network Communications
With Any2,
InfoStreet can interconnect with more than 58 other
major internet networks in one connection.
TARZANA, Calif. (September 26, 2006) - InfoStreet
Inc. (www.infostreet.com), creator of the fully managed,
on-demand IT software suite, StreetSmart, announces
that its network operated from their location at One
Wilshire, a 34-floor fiber optic-equipped building that
serves as the de facto nexus for most of the
telecommunications traffic for this hemisphere is now
part of the Any2 exchange. InfoStreet's decision
to participate in this exchange at One Wilshire was
part of their ongoing dedication to customer service
and commitment to Service Level Agreement (SLA) and
network uptime. InfoStreet's current SLA contract is
99.95, but as part of this move, InfoStreet will now
offer customers a 99.99% SLA for network uptime with
aspirations for "five 9s" in the future. In
addition, Any2 is a neutral, privately-owned
Internet and packet exchange technology open to all
One Wilshire and Market Post Tower clients which allows
users to interconnect with any other Any2
users with 100MBPS or 1GBPS access port speeds, using
either copper or fiber. Through this enhanced packet
technology, clients are able to route IP traffic more
efficiently, while providing faster, more reliable and
lower-latency Internet and VoIP access to their customers.
"One Wilshire is the gateway for virtually all
data that enters North America," says Siamak Farah,
president of InfoStreet. "In addition, nearly every
major telecommunications company has a switching facility
in this building, so by operating our network from here,
we can benefit from the cost and speed advantages available
that naturally arise from ease-of-interconnectivity
... and then pass those along to our customers."
"Our building serves as a telecommunications
carrier hotel to over 300 companies, and we are proud
to be the data center of choice for InfoStreet,"
says John Savageau, senior vice president, operations
at One Wilshire. "For companies such as InfoStreet,
we can ensure interconnection to the best and fastest
networks available. The combination of access to physical
interconnections, the Any2 Exchange, and
One Wilshire's on-site technical support staff will
ensure InfoStreet a powerful hub for distributing application
services to the global network community."
